Main research areas:

1. Edible Fungi

The research encompasses the establishment of a large-scale fungal germplasm resource bank, the domestication of wild edible fungi, the breeding of edible fungi, the cultivation of edible fungi, the prevention and control of pests and diseases, the recycling of mushroom residues, and the study of the nutritional and medicinal value of edible and medicinal fungi.

2. Fungal resources and systematic classification

To investigate and collect fungal resources, preserve them, and conduct systematic taxonomic research.

3. Research on beneficial metabolites of fungi

Based on the large number of fungal species resources preserved in the laboratory, we screen for metabolites with biological activity, including screening for antibacterial, antitumor, and other active substances, as well as screening for various biological enzymes.

4. Ecological agriculture

Research on the "San-Wu Agriculture" model of coordination between animals, plants, and microorganisms.

Some representative scientific research projects he has led:

1. National Natural Science Foundation of China, project approval number: 32070023, project name: studies on the phylogeny of Chaetasphariaceae and the genus and species diversity in China.

2. National Natural Science Foundation of China, Project No. 31500021; Project name: Research on the resources, classification and molecular systematics of cheirosporous hyphomycetes.
